Smooth Operator: Sequins + Silk Blouse

This is my second outfit from the post series: 10 Ways to Style a Sequin Skirt {using 10 tops you already own}. Here I've paired the gold mini with a light peach silk blouse, brown suede heels and a gold and pink chain headband for an elegant, sophisticated look. Were the skirt a tad bit longer, I'd say this is an office-appropriate look that could easily carry you through the evening cocktail hour. The soft silk of the blouse and the suede of the shoes add just the right amount of contrasting drama. The lesson here is to pair a piece like this glitzy mini with a simple, clean silhouette.
