Green with Envy: Emerald Pants

So in case you haven't heard, emerald green is THE color to wear in 2013, according to Pantone. It just so happens that I have a lovely pair of emerald green pants in my closet that I bought before wearing emerald green was cool. That's right, I'm waaaay ahead of the fashion curve. So ahead, in fact, that I've been wearing these for a whole year now. ;)

When I first bought these, I had no idea what to pair with them. The color is so eye-catching and attention-grabbing on its own, so I would pair them with good ol' neutrals. Now that doesn't sound very fun, does it? So here I am wearing them with a fun pastel pink shirt that I found at a thrift store, fuchsia round toe Jessica Simpson pumps {that I wore for my wedding} and Maybelline lipstick in Mad for Magenta. And even though it's about 45 degrees outside, I feel spring in the air.
